If you already know DB Master 08 you will feel at home using also Internal Master 08. IM08 is a generic editor for the files saved by EA-Sports FIFA series including: career files, tournament files, squad files and cooperative files. The main difference with DBM08 is that a table cannot have any number of records but, instead, each table has a fixed number of records but some of them can be empty. IM08 will show empty records as record with the first field set to 1.
In order to edit an internal file, IM08 needs to use info that are saved in the fifa.db. IM08 automatically opens your fifa.db and uses it but it will not modify it. It could happen that the internal file and the main database do not match. This happens if the main database has been modified after that the internal file has been saved. IM 08 offers to you the possibility to try to recover the situation, it will change the the internal file in order to make it compatible with the main database, unfortunately also if the files appears formally compatible this is not a gurantee that they can really work when loaded in FIFA 08.
Another important thing to remember is that some strings, like for example the names of the players, are not saved in the internal files but in the main fifa.db. IM08 will use fifa.db to get the strings but it will not save them, IM08 will modify only internal files and not the main database.
